I wanted to start a series of posts on my blog where I would be writing about my favorite type of jewelry – statement piece jewelry. I’ve always been a chunky jewelry junkie; I enjoy bold pieces that catch your eye, and it’s almost impossible to miss them. So, in this first post, I wanted to touch on the subject of statement necklaces, and show you some I enjoy wearing lately.
When I’m wearing such strong and bold necklaces, I usually try to make them stars of the show. Most commonly I pair them with monochromatic tops. If I feel like I need a bit more color, I love adding bandanas, which are also one of my top accessories. By doing so, the necklaces are standing out as much as possible, and that’s my goal.
I actually got this gorgeous floral statement necklace for my birthday and immediately fell in love with it. It’s made by lovely Aleksandra behind the brand Mustra. As soon as I got it, I went to her FB page and was blown away by her work. It seemed we had pretty similar taste when it came to statement piece jewelry.
Of course, I had to get another one, and I chose this black & gold, fluffy necklace because I felt it was perfect for winter. It was love at first sight. I paired it with this fluffy white sweater I got from a thrift shop not long ago.
Afterward, Aleksandra, the designer, contacted me and asked if I wanted to take a look at some other pieces and try them on. As you can imagine, I couldn’t say no 🙂
I think my most favorite one is this one with fork and spoon. Does it get any cuter than this? I feel like this striped top from H&M and bandana from Top Vintage Boutique make a perfect match with it.
Another black & gold mix, a necklace with a small watch. By the way, I should mention these are made of different types of buttons. I paired it with a simple black top from Stradivarius.
This next red & blue one, I feel, has a unique vibe to it, and I love how simple, yet bold it is.
And the final one I wanted to share with you is another floral perfection, this time in white. The little butterfly is just like a cherry on the top. It has such a girly feel to it, so I love pairing it with a pastel pink top from Stradivarius.
So, there you, here are some of my favorite statement piece necklaces and some ways on how to incorporate them into an outfit. In the next post in this series, I’ll focus on bold earrings and ways to wear them during the day.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Till my next one,
Have a great day, Ana!
