In case you were wondering, yes, it’s time for a new post in our Sombor Tales series and I couldn’t be more excited, as we’re already up to Sombor Tales Part Three! And there’s still more to come 😉
In my two previous posts, Sombor Tales Part One and Sombor Tales Part Two, we saw some outfit ideas revolving around 50s inspired swing retro dresses. If you couldn’t tell by now, this is the style I feel most comfortable in. This is the style that represents me the most, but that still doesn’t mean I don’t gravitate towards other looks, too.
For this stroll around the city, I wanted to go pretty casual. I mean, in my way of casual 🙂 So, to switch things up a bit, I went for a pants outfit instead of a dress one. But, I still wanted to have that vintage feel to it, as you might guess. Let’s say this outfit is my take on an Audrey Hepburn look, but a modernized one. To be more precise, this look is a mixture of Audrey, pin up style and some more modern details. Eclectic as always, I’ve got to live up the name of my blog, right?
Ok then, what was my choice for a typical stroll around the city? The base of the outfit is these black and white cigarette pants. I feel that they bring that Audrey feel to it. But, instead of pairing them with some flats, which would a true Audrey moment, I went for some statement pink and gold brogues. Another accessory which is kind of a statement one for me is a bandana. This time, I chose the yellow one with white dots; it complemented the outfit without making it monochromatic. And finally, since there were a few stand out pieces the shirt was more “plain”, black with some frills. Sunglasses are always a nice touch, too, and these heart-shaped ones are one of my faves.
So, that’s all for Sombor Tales Part Three! Now let’s go through the photos, I hope you’ll like them! Let me know in the comments what is your outfit of choice for a casual day in the city?
