Concrete tales of a vintage girl

yellow faux leather jacket with black shorts

The title of today’s post Concrete tales of a vintage girl seemed to fit like a glove as its ambiguity was perfect to explain the idea behind it. What was the idea then, you might ask? Well, in this outfit post I wanted to give you one outfit inspo on how to dress for a day among the concrete and asphalt surrounding us. So, as you may see, we’re really being concrete here, to finish off with my pun of the week, apparently…

The other word of the day, apart from concrete, would be contrast. I feel like contrast is what can strike as the biggest impression when looking at the photos. I just love how the vibrant colors of the jacket and earrings clash with more subdued blues and grays of the concrete road and walls. Not just that, but the contrast between the yellow jacket and blue earrings is another good color combo. And, it will get certainly you noticed.

Also, I think this type of outfit is quite effective with or without the jacket, so there are more options to choose from. You know, if we’re walking down the streets or waiting for a bus or taxi we can casually drape the jacket over shoulders or carry it in our hands. But, if we’re in any kind of a hurry just put it on and go! And, for all us gals on the go, shoes like these ankle boots from @aboshoes are always the perfect choice. They are both stylish and comfortable.

And now, after my concrete tale, let’s go see some pictures! I’d love to hear some of your thoughts and ideas, as always! What is your outfit on-the-go to conquer the concrete that surrounds us?
