Ferris wheels and retro dresses

In my last post, we took a stroll through the streets of Belgrade, to see how it feels to be a vintage girl in the city. Today, this vintage girl in a retro dress is taking another walk but this time, the location a is a bit different – we’re going to a Ferris wheel theme park! And it’s not just any, it’s a park with the loveliest Ferris wheel in the city… What should you wear on a day like this? Jeans and tennis shoes would seem like a logical choice. But, since we’re perhaps not the most logical here,…

A vintage girl in the city – a fashion story

retro fashion

I’m sure some of you know that feeling you might get on a gorgeous spring day, when you just want to slip into a dress and a pair of your favorite heels and simply go out for a stroll – well, for me, these are the moments when I truly feel like a vintage girl in the city. Pair it with a photographer who can capture this atmosphere at a glance and create not just a set of photos, but a story – it is an epitome of a perfect day in my book. This was actually the first time…

Statement Piece Series – Statement Earrings

statement earrings

As some of you might remember, I started a series on my blog called Statement Piece Series where I first covered the topic of statement necklaces. Well, it’s time to pick up where we left off and talk about another piece of jewelry I adore – statement earrings. Earrings and necklaces are what I wear on most days, sometimes paired, sometimes just one of these things. And, as you might’ve guessed I’m crazy about big & bold in-your-face jewelry. And earrings are no exception there 🙂 I guess my obsession with more extravagant earrings came with the fact that I’ve…

My hair evolution – a walk down the memory lane

hair evolution

Today I wanted to go down the memory lane with you, go through some old (and embarrassing) pictures of me and show you how my hair has looked and evolved throughout the last ten or more years, in other words, my hair evolution. And, just to warn you, this is going to be a long one, so get some snacks and relax 🙂 I’ve always felt hair colors and styles are a great way to express your personality and individuality; that’s why I’ve never had any problems with changing it frequently and trying out new stuff. Hey, even if you…

My Top 5 Lipsticks of 2016

topfivelipsticks

Today I wanted to share with you my top 5 lipsticks of 2016. And I have to tell, it was extremely hard to narrow it down to just five, being the makeup addict I am.. But, somehow I managed to and now let’s chat a bit about my top picks. First of all, I’ll start by saying on most days I wear liquid lipsticks, I love the longevity and the opacity of the formula. Not to say I don’t like lipsticks in a bullet form, I just prefer the liquid ones. One thing you’ll rarely see me with are lipglosses,…

Winter shorts – are they a necessity?

zara yellow jacket shorts details

I know, I know, when you think about the colder weather and snowflakes, winter shorts aren’t the first thing that comes to your mind. But, hey, even if they are not something to wear on a daily basis, there’s still place for them even in autumn and winter. I’d say the one garment which is absolutely necessary are a nice pair of fuller stocking, perhaps a cable knit ones or just a nice pair of more dark ones to keep you warm, especially during winter. In fall you can opt for some not so full and opaque stockings if you…

Statement Piece Series – Statement Necklaces

statement necklaces

I wanted to start a series of posts on my blog where I would be writing about my favorite type of jewelry – statement piece jewelry. I’ve always been a chunky jewelry junkie; I enjoy bold pieces that catch your eye, and it’s almost impossible to miss them. So, in this first post, I wanted to touch on the subject of statement necklaces, and show you some I enjoy wearing lately. When I’m wearing such strong and bold necklaces, I usually try to make them stars of the show. Most commonly I pair them with monochromatic tops. If I feel…

An Instagram retro retrospective

about-me-1

Today I wanted to share with you something I decided to call my little “retro retrospective”. Since I was quite active on my Instagram account before starting this blog, there are a lot of outfits and pictures I had a feeling would make a nice blog post, like an Instagram round up. As you can see, I’m a sucker for dresses and they are something you can see me wearing probably 90% of the time. In fact, I enjoy accessorizing them, mostly with vintage jewelry and handbags I find thrifting or are given to me by my grandmother.

The story behind my tattoos

vintage perfume bottle tattoo

I think tattoos and all that comes with them (tradition, art, meaning) have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, like so many of us, I stayed for hours binge-watching shows such as Miami Ink and LA Ink for hours. But, up until recently I never felt quite ready to commit myself to getting a tattoo for a number of reasons. Mostly, I wanted to be completely sure of what I was getting inked and I waited to find the right artist. Looking back, I feel like I’ve made the right choice of taking…

My nail art obsession

pink ombre coffin nails

One of the things I enjoy the most in my beauty routine is getting my nails done. Being a bit of a clumsy person, I prefer leaving the gel manicure to professionals. Therefore, I was extremely lucky to find the most amazing and creative nail technician (or artist, a far better word choice), Bojana, from the Salon lepote Euphoria based in Belgrade. Really, I cannot talk highly enough about her and her creativity, imagination and ability to design and draw anything you can with for on your nails. My choice of nail shape varies, from almond and stiletto to coffin…
